Terri Debin
Terri was born and raised in the suburbs of Denver and has lived in Jeffco for the last 20 years, first in the Green Mountain area of Lakewood and currently in Golden. She has a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Colorado State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver. She has worked for the Department of the Interior for the past 26 years and currently manages a group of attorneys who work on public land issues. She retires from the Department on July 31st and hopes to spend more time OUTDOORS with her husband and 3 Arvada grandkids. Her family has always been outdoor enthusiasts and love to hike, picnic, ride bikes and camp in the many parks in our county, and throughout Colorado and the country. She wants to use her newly acquired free time to give back to the community and create opportunities for people who need assistance to enjoy the great outdoors. The Jefferson County Open Space Foundation fits perfectly in her retirement plan and she is excited to be a part of its reinstitution.
Jen Barbour
Jen Barbour is a Denver native, and although a frequent explorer, Colorado remains her home base. Jen has a passion and respect for outdoor recreation and found a love of biking that began with a daily commute to the office. As Executive Director of Team Evergreen, she supports safe and equitable access to bicycling throughout the state. She oversees all Team Evergreen events: the Triple Bypass, the Mount Evans Hill Climb, The Hundo, Beti Bike Bash, the Session Series, and Salida76. Jen is active in projects throughout the Front Range and has overseen new events and acquisitions to further establish Team Evergreen as a respected organization within the Colorado cycling community. She holds Master’s Degrees in both Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture and uses her accumulated knowledge, network, and experience to help connect advocates, projects, and funding to further the outdoor experience. As a former competitor in most cycling disciplines, she is now happiest on a trail or gravel road with good friends at a reasonable pace.
