Tax revenue funds Jeffco Open Space to preserve open space and parkland, protect park and natural resources, and provide healthy nature-based experiences. The Jeffco Open Space Foundation supports initiatives and programs that are outside the purview of Jeffco Open Space, and align with the Foundation’s vision, mission and beliefs. While Jeffco Open Space does the work of preserving the parks, Jeffco Open Space Foundation supports opportunities that connect people to the outdoors. Partnering with agencies and other nonprofits, the Foundation supports initiatives that provide equipment, supplies, transportation, and enhanced accessibility to nature for everyone, as well as programs for responsible use, trail courtesy education, volunteer programs, or youth development.
Go to the Donate page, select Individual Gifts and Donate Now. Under “Where can we designate your gift?” select the Trust that most closely aligns with your loved one’s passion. When prompted, click the Dedicate this Gift button which allows you to fill in the name of the honoree. Their name will then be visible on the Donor Recognition page for 12 months.
The Jeffco Open Space Foundation Board is comprised of volunteers committed to keeping administrative expenses to an absolute minimum and leveraging all donations so they provide the maximum benefit to the Trust selected.
