Jeffco Open Space Foundation believes everyone needs nature to thrive, nature must be loved and cared for, experiential learning is lasting, and children are nature’s next stewards. We make these beliefs real by fostering partnerships with local nonprofit and parks and recreation providers to be a bridge between our neighborhoods and communities to the fabulous public lands in and around Jeffco.
Given this, we have secured funding to support our Nature’s Next Stewards (NNS) grant program. This program is designed to inspire your organization to give kids quality outdoor experiences that will cause them to love and care for nature and our public lands. The NNS program has been graciously funded by individual and business donations and by the Jefferson County Commissioners allocating a portion of the Denver Broncos sale proceeds (from the Metropolitan Football Stadium District) to this endeavor.
